Program Description

The Salon and Spa Support Specialist technical certificate of credit introduces courses that prepare students for careers in the field of Cosmetology as a Salon and Spa Support Specialist. Learning opportunities develop academic and professional knowledge required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes specialized training for safety, sanitation, state laws, rules and regulations, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, skin, hair and scalp treatments, basic shampooing techniques, reception sales, management, employability skills, and work ethics.

Program Specific Information

Students are accepted each semester based on course and space availability.

Students must complete ALL COSM COURSES with a grade of C or higher in order to graduate.

This program is not eligible for the Pell Grant but may be eligible for Institutional and State Financial Aid.

Admissions Requirements

Must be 16 years of age. 

ACCUPLACER Testing, or submit SAT, ACT, COMPASS, or ASSET test scores.
