Library

The Library provides students and faculty the opportunity to search for information using books, periodicals, and electronic resources. The library's collection provides support for the college's academic programs and opportunities for personal enrichment.

Computers are available with Internet access, GALILEO, Microsoft Office programs, and the Georgia Career Information System software. Interlibrary loan agreements allow students access to books and periodicals from libraries across the state to supplement the local holdings. Lanier Technical College has a reciprocal agreement with Gainesville State College to provide use of materials and computers for faculty and students.

Library services include reference services, bibliographic instruction, assistance with online databases, and media production. There are libraries at all five LTC campuses.

Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, and Barrow campus libraries are open 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The Jackson campus library is open during class hours.

Hall, Forsyth, Dawson, and Barrow campus libraries are also open from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. A librarian is available one day each week to assist students with online tutoring, and students are welcomed in-person daily. Reference questions can be sent by email or phone to a librarian at any time, and a chat box is available on the library website. Campus libraries also have a special arrangement with the public library closest to them for assistance and for books related to their programs. Interlibrary loan is also available to all LTC students, faculty, and staff.
