BUAS 1055 Data Cabling
This course introduces the installation of cabling systems for digital devices and low-voltage systems. Emphasis is placed on installation techniques, BAS bus wiring, cable identification, and TIA Standards (ANSI/TIA-568). The course discusses the history of cabling standards, the OSI model and network topologies, and defining the physical network. Topics include: safety, hardware, cable types, and the installations of low-voltage cabling technologies that address DDC, BAS, voice, video, security, and data communications.
