Basic Building Controls Certificate Program

Program Description
The Basic Building Controls certificate program will provide graduates with a basic skill set that will prepare completers for entry-level assistant or apprenticeship opportunities in the Building Automation Systems (BAS) industry. Students will be exposed to BAS fundamentals including topics such as electricity, digital logic and controllers, direct digital control systems, and environmental control systems. Graduates may apply their credits towards completing the BAS AAS degree program.

This program is not eligible for the Pell Grant but may be eligible for Institutional and State Financial Aid.

Admissions Requirements
High school diploma or GED is required prior to admission. (Official transcripts or GED scores must be submitted from all colleges and/or high schools attended for credit.)
ACCUPLACER Testing, or submit SAT, ACT, COMPASS, or ASSET test scores.
